I. Before We Put It on a Coffee Mug01/06
This is one of the most honest prayers in the whole Bible. It is also one of the shortest. Both things matter.
II. What's Happening Here?02/06
A desperate father has brought his suffering son to Jesus. Jesus says, "All things are possible to him who believes." The father does not pretend to have flawless faith. He tells the truth: some of me trusts You, some of me doesn't. Help both parts.
III. What It Actually Means03/06
You do not have to sort out your doubts before you come to God. You can bring the doubt itself. Jesus, notably, does not correct this man. He heals his son anyway.

Say this prayer out loud, exactly as it is, one time today: "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief."

What part of your faith right now would you honestly call "unbelief," and what would it look like to hand that part to God too?
VI. A Simple Prayer
Jesus, I believe—more than I did, less than I want to. Help my unbelief. Meet me in the parts of me that are still unsure. Amen.
