About

The Bible deserves better than being reduced to a bumper sticker.

I grew up hearing verses treated like fortune cookies — one line, ripped from a paragraph, hung on a wall, and then quietly ignored the rest of the week. It always felt like we were missing something.

Dan's Daily Bible Verse is a small daily rebellion against that. One verse a day, with just enough context to understand where it came from, what it actually says, and what you can do with it before lunch.

No political axe to grind. No denominational fine print. No pretending the hard verses aren't hard. Just careful, honest reading of a book that has held up for a very long time for very good reasons.

The promise

  • One verse a day, published every morning at 7:00 AM Central.
  • Enough context that you'd never be embarrassed to quote it in front of a scholar.
  • One practical thing you can carry into the rest of your day.
  • No spam, no shame, no clickbait — ever.

A note on translations

Verses on this site come from public-domain and openly licensed translations (primarily the World English Bible). When a specific translation matters for meaning, we'll say so and quote it in context.
